About Eva Baker, founder of The Teenpreneur:
Eva Baker was sixteen years old when she founded TeensGotCents. For the last three years she has talked about shopping smart, how to get a great part time job, how to go to college debt free, budgeting basics and how teens can start their own business along with the occasional DIY money saving post.
After having an amazing experience connecting with the community created by PT Money of FinCon (conference for personal finance bloggers) Eva decided she wanted to host a conference where teens could come together and have a similar experience. At first she thought she would hold a personal finance conference designed just for teens based on her award winning website TeensGotCents. It took her about 5 minutes to realize that no teen anywhere wanted to attend a personal finance conference. In fact, she didn’t want to attend that conference herself!
She kept thinking and dreaming and had an lightbulb moment in 2015. Teen entrepreneurs are everywhere but often they work alone and certainly don’t have a community of other teens supporting their efforts, cheering them on, and giving them advice. The Teenpreneur Conference is a way for teens who want to start a business or simply need practical tips and advice to grow a business to get together, share ideas, and have a little fun with friends.
The first Teenpreneur conference was held in June of 2016 and was a huge success. The second annual Teenpreneur conference was June 8th-10th in Jacksonville, FL. Our third conference is coming up June 21st – 23rd of 2018. We can’t believe we are about to start our third year!
About The Teenpreneur:
The third annual Teenpreneur conference, an event that is both by teens and for teens, will be held on June 21st – 23rd, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Jacksonville-Baymeadows in Jacksonville, Florida. Sensing a need for collaboration and community among teen entrepreneurs, 21-year-old Teenpreneur founder Eva Baker designed this 3-day event with the intention of bringing together 13-19 year old established and aspiring entrepreneurs to not only learn from one other, but to also challenge each other to take the next step in their businesses. The conference will include keynotes, panels, individual sessions, a late night party, as well as a track for parents of teenpreneurs. Registration is now open, and early bird pricing ends April 30, 2018. At least one parent is required to attend with each teen.
